A while ago we brought you news about how much of a Tottenham Hotspur fan Klaxons’ James Righton is – he even used to wear his Spurs shirt while he was on Leicester City’s books as a school kid.
Today (October 16), the red tops have picked up on it, and The Sun have decided that this club loyalty inevitably means that the band are "desperate to do a cover version of cheesy eighties hit ‘Diamond Lights’, by former Spurs stars Glenn Hoddle and Chris Waddle".
We’re not sure how they came to that conclusion, seeing as there are no quotes or suggestions from the band anywhere that they’ve even heard the song, let alone want to cover it but, hey, once more maybe they know something we don’t.
What we’d be more interested in, mind, is a Gallagher/Man City-style ‘homecoming’ gig at White Hart Lane. It’d be more entertaining than the average Saturday there...
