Tabloid Hell: Amy Winehouse dumped for Leona?

Amy Winehouse has been dumped by the James Bond bosses to sing the theme to the next 007 movie.

The singer was allegedly in line to be the next, um, Shirley Bassey but, after her recent alleged drink and drugs scandals, her dreams have been nipped in the bud.

Instead, according to today's (October 28) papers, producers have apparently gone for X Factor good girl, and current Number One, Leona Lewis.

An ‘insider’ said: “Leona’s beaming from ear to ear at being asked to be part of such a huge movie.

“She thinks it’s a real honour to follow in the footsteps of some of the world’s biggest female names including Shirley Bassey, Sheryl Crow, Madonna and Tina Turner.”

With an MOR line-up like that it sounds like more of a ’Die Another Day’ than ’Live And Let Die’.
