The 'Smile' star is in talks with TV bosses now, apparently

Not content with bagging her own TV show on BBC3, gobby star Lily Allen is supposedly set to land an “intergalactic” new TV role – as 'Dr Who'’s assistant.

Yup, according to The Sun, Allen is set to step into the TARDIS, following in the illustrious footsteps of the likes of Billie Piper and Catherine Tate, in order to “sex up” the show.

“We’ve talked to her and she was excited by the idea,” explained “a source”. “Billie [Piper] used 'Dr Who' for her transition from music to acting. We think Lily can emulate that.”

But isn’t 'Dr Who' getting a bit too “London trendy”? According to the same article Rhys Ifans is being lined up to replace David Tennant as the good Doctor when he steps down, you see...

I actually used to watch this very badly made show, and I'm not sure Allen will be able to "sex it up" in any way, judging from that ridiculous music video of that "Oh My God" cover version of hers.
