Morrissey and Marr to reunite? – Tabloid Hell

Russell Brand clawing for Smiths reunion

Morrissey and Marr to reunite? – Tabloid Hell
Morrissey and Johnny Marr could be set to reunite - if comedian Russell Brand has anything to do with it.

According to today (November 27) red tops the former Shockwaves NME Awards host is doing his best to bring The Smiths pair back together… though unfortunately for fans of the band only in cat form.

Brand has decided to find a friend for his cat called Morrissey, and would call his new pet Marr, naturally.

However according to the comedian, setting up this feline partnership is as difficult as restoring The Smiths’ severed alliance.

“It’s tricky because he [the new cat] has to have the right temperament,” explains Brand. “They’ll have to click but also have creative issues.”

Meanwhile to find out what the human Morrissey has been up to, get this week’s issue of NME on UK newsstands nationwide from November 28 for an exclusive interview with the star.
