Amy Winehouse turned up to visit jailed husband Blake Fielder Civil sporting badly burnt fingers. A spokesperson for the singer said her fingers “are absolutely fine and not blackened.” (various)

Lily Allen got tongues wagging that she would wed Chemical Brothers boyfriend Ed Simons after she was spotted out with dad Keith wearing a ring on her wedding finger. (The Daily Star)

Madonna turned down the opportunity to appear in the Dr Who Christmas Special. An entire episode called ’The Last Cassandra’ was penned especially for the singer, but she vetoed the idea and the entire episode was scrapped in favour of Kylie Minogue. (The Sun).
