Hard-Fi cuss copycat groups – Tabloid Hell

There are too many Libertines clones about

Hard-Fi's lead singer Richard Archer has dissed bands who look to copy The Libertines in a bid to get a record deal and become famous.

The frontman - whose band was joined onstage by The Clash's Mick Jones last week - attacked the groups for their lack of innovation.

He said: "Bands as a genre seem to have become quite popular recently. And when that happens you get a load of bands that all want to sound like The Libertines."

According to The Daily Record, Archer added that groups who do this will not have any longevity.

“A lot of them have been signed but won't be around in six months' time because we have already had The Libertines and we don't need another one," he said. "It always amazes me when these bands come out and say that they are doing something new when they're not.”

He concluded: "You've got to be able to find your own voice – something that makes you different."

"You've got to be able to find your own voice – something that makes you different." - why bother Richard, you sold enough records by sounding like every other 2nd rate guitar/pop band that came before you.

Really, everything's true. Archer shoud think about his music instead. And his voice too i think (not so memorable) =.=

Wise up people.

Who is he slagging?

The article was about advice for new bands and he's right.

Get your own sound.

This is just biased lazy sensationalism.

But the press wouldn't do that would they??
Hmmm

He's making a valid point - just take a listen to supposedly exciting new bands such as the Courteeners or the View etc.

hypocrisy!!!!!! hard-fi are an awful band, theres nothing innovative about them, another band that wants to sound like oasis, another band that emphatically stress their "street" edge! awful music, if you are a fan, then shame on you!

Hard-Fi have never wanted to sound like Oasis - where did you get that idea from?!
