Amy Winehouse caused £3,000-worth of damage to a hotel room she was staying in before she attended the Brit Awards, according to The Sun’s Bizarre column.
The column reports that Winehouse had been staying in the £300-a-night Riverbank Plaza hotel, and had refused to let cleaners into the room during her stay.
When Winehouse left the room to go to the Brits, cleaners found the place in a right state. Apparently booze was spilled on the floor, where cigarette butts and dirty underwear were strewn.
Cleaners also had to spend hours scrubbing the bath, which had been stained after Winehouse washed her beehive in it.
The newspaper quotes a source at the hotel saying, “It was carnage. It was absolutely disgusting. The bed hadn’t been changed since she arrived and most of the room had been used as an ashtray.”
