'We don’t know the sex' says the Fall Out Boy

Pete Wentz has been discussing his preparations for fatherhood, and revealed he’s seeking advice from his father.

The Fall Out Boy bassist says that his own dad has advised him to go with his guy and manage his expectations of the new baby.

“The best advice my dad has given me was, go with your gut.” Wentz told People.com “And he said you can't really have expectations. If I have expectations that he's going to be a rock star, I'm sure he'll come out being into sports, and if I have expectations that he'll be into sports then he'll be into math or something."

In addition to reading books such as ‘The Expectant Father’, Wentz also joked that he’s watched the ‘Look Who’s Talking’ movies in preparation for the baby.

“I've watched ‘Look Who's Talking’ and ‘Look Who's Talking Too’. I'd be worried if the baby sounded like Bruce Willis."

Wentz recently put his Los Angeles home up for sale and has moved into wife Ashlee Simpson’s Valley mansion, which he says the pair are currently child-proofing.

Despite rumours that the baby is a girl, Wentz says they don’t know what they are having. "Contrary to the stories out there, we don't know the sex of the baby. I'm a person that always likes to be surprised, so I like to wait for the surprise."
