James Corden to cover New Order for official 2010 England World Cup song? – Tabloid Hell

'Gavin And Stacy' comedian James Corden is being lined up to cover New Order's 1990 World Cup anthem 'World In Motion' as the official England song for the 2010 campaign, according to reports.

The actor – who recently filmed a Comic Relief skit with the current England squad – is apparently in two minds as to whether he should actually commit to the project or not.

An unnamed source told The Sun that Cordon is yet to make a decision, after being asked to work on the song by The FA and the Sport Relief charity.

"He is in two minds about it," the source said. "He loved New Order's version of 'World In Motion' during Italia '90. He would hate to do anything that spoiled the original. On the other hand it is for charity and he loved doing a Comic Relief sketch with the team which featured the lyrics.

"Offering a football fan a chance to make a video with the England side is pretty tempting. It would be a great DVD to show the kids."

New Order's version of 'World In Motion' featured England midfielder John Barnes rapping.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup takes place in South Africa.
