Robbie Williams has admitted he has testosterone injections twice a week in order to boost his sex drive.
The newly married Williams confessed that he went to see a doctor in Los Angeles and was looking to be prescribed human growth hormone, but was told by the medic that he needed testosterone injections instead, as he had the testosterone levels of "a 100-year-old man".
Williams, talking in the new issue of Esquire, said: "I went to get some HGH. It's what all the old fellas are on out there in LA. Could give you cancer. I weighed that up. Thought I'd have it anyway. Went to see a doctor. He said: 'You don't need HGH. You've got the testosterone of a 100-year-old man'."
The singer also said he believed the idea of marriage was "made-up bull", despite being recently married himself, as humans were incapable of sticking to one partner. He said: "I think that we're built to fuck. And marriage, that whole institution, is made-up bull."
Williams denied though this meant he thought he would be inevitably unfaithful to his new wife Ayda Field. He said: "Actually, no, because I don't want to break Ayda's heart. That's the last thing I want to do. But I would be way more tempted because at the end of the day I am a man, with the stuff that makes you a man – go forth and multiply. And multiply with absolutely everyone."
Williams is currently on a UK stadium tour with Take That.
