Jedward reckon they've insured their hair for £1 million.

The irritating Irish pop duo - real names John and Edward Grimes - made the claim during their current stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house. They told their housemates they didn't want to risk damaging their trademark quiffs in the Channel 5 show's tasks.

However, their boast contradicts comments made by 'singer' John as he entered the house about protecting his hair, lips and eyes.

He commented:

People have advised me to insure them but I haven't because I feel I'm not vain. We want to go to India, to South Africa. We want to teach everyone around the world how cool this amazing hairstyle is.

Jedward are currently the bookies' second favourites to win the show, behind former Atomic Kitten member Kerry Katona.

Earlier this year, Kellogg's denied reports that Jedward were set to become the new faces of Coco Pops. In a statement, the cereal maker confirmed that current mascot Coco The Monkey's job was safe for the time being.
