'X Factor' winner Leona Lewis has knocked Take That off the top of the UK singles chart to claim the Christmas Number One.

As predicted the singer's cover of Kelly Clarkson's 'A Moment Like This' shot straight into the top spot.

Take That's single 'Patience' is Number Two while McFly and Girls Aloud, who both scored new entries, were in at three and four.

Elsewhere Razorlight went straight in at Number 17 with 'Before I Fall To Pieces'.

The Christmas Top Ten is:

1. Leona Lewis - 'A Moment Like This'
2. Take That - 'Patience'
3. McFly - 'Sorry's Not Good Enough'
4. Girls Aloud - 'I Think We're Alone Now'
5. Cascada - 'Truly Madly Deeply'
6. The Pogues - 'Fairytale Of New York'
7. Cliff Richard - '21st Century Christmas'
8. Booty Luv - 'Boogie 2nite'
9. Akon ft Eminem - 'Smack That'
