Take That are to create a musical around their songs.

The show, called ’Never Forget’, will tell the fictional tale of a Take That tribute band and include the Number One singles ’Relight My Fire’, ’Back For Good’ and ’Pray’.

The story was created by Danny Brocklehurst, who has worked on’Shameless’ and ’Clcoking Off’.

In a statement, it is described as a “feelgood comedy about love, friendship, ambition and betrayal”.

Producer Tristan Baker said: “We are the biggest fans of Take That’s music and we are so excited about the wonderful opportunity to create a new musical based on the fantastic catalogue of their work.

“We are looking forward to creating a legacy with these well loved songs in the way that shows such as ’Mamma Mia!’ have done before.”

The musical will be staged at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, Glasgow’s King’s Theatre, Manchester’s Opera House, Regent Theatre in Stoke-On-Trent and Edinburgh’s Playhouse before going to London’s West End, reports BBC News.
