Take That have distanced themselves from ’Never Forget’, the musical that is being launched using their songs.

As previously reported the show will tell the fictional tale of a Take That tribute band. The story was created by Danny Brocklehurst, who has worked on ’Shameless’.

However in a statement, the group said: “The band would like to state categorically that this production is being undertaken with neither their involvement nor their endorsement.

“They would wish their fans and the general public to know that this production is absolutely and 100 per cent nothing to do with Take That.”

The musical will be staged at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, Glasgow’s King’s Theatre, Manchester’s Opera House, Regent Theatre in Stoke-On-Trent and Edinburgh’s Playhouse before going to London’s West End.
