Gary Barlow's Commonwealth Band have topped the Official UK Album Chart this evening (June 3).

According to data from the Official Charts Company, the Take That singer's collaborative LP 'Sing', which was made with the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Military Wives Choir musician Gareth Malone, fittingly claimed the Number One spot to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Weekend.

The album fended off competition from Paloma Faith's 'Fall To Grace', which had led the chart battle earlier this week but ended up in the Number Two position. Rumer's 'Boys Don't Cry' was at Number Three, while Scissor Sisters saw their new album 'Magic Hour' enter the charts at Number Four. Singer Russell Watson's latest effort, 'Anthems', was at Number Five.

Elsewhere, Sigur Ros gatecrashed the Top 10 by claiming the Number Eight position with their latest release 'Valtari', while Alt – J landed the Number 19 spot with their 'An Awesome Wave' LP. Regina Spektor, meanwhile, was at Number 24 with her new album 'What We Saw From The Cheap Seats', while 'This Is PiL', the first studio album in 20 years by John Lydon's band Public Image Ltd, was at Number 35.

In the singles race, meanwhile, electro act Rudimental debuted at Number One with their track 'Feel The Love', with last week's biggest-selling track – 'We Are Young' by Fun featuring Janelle Monae – slipping to Number Two. Eurovision winner Loreen took Number Three with 'Euphoria', with Lawson's 'When She Was Mine' and Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' coming in at Number Four and Five respectively.
