Blur and The Stone Roses feature on a rich list of acts who have reformed in recent years.

The huge sums earned by both bands show just why it is so many acts are keen to reunite, with Blur reportedly earning £15 million since returning in 2009 and last year's Stone Roses reunion making the Manchester group an estimated £12 million. However, according to The Sun's figures, both bands trail considerably behind Take That whose huge tours and successful albums of new material have netted £130 million since 2005.

Elsewhere on the list, it is claimed The Spice Girls earned £25 million and Steps around £10 million. Other groups included in the rich list include Madness, Simple Minds, Sex Pistols, Pulp and the Happy Mondays. You can see the full top ten below.

1. Take That - £130 million
2. Spice Girls - £25 million
3. Blur - £15 million
4. The Stone Roses - £12 million
5. Steps - £10 million
6. Madness - £5 million
7. Simple Minds - £3 million
8. Sex Pistols - £2.5 million
9. Pulp - £1.5 million
10. Happy Mondays - £750,000

Meanwhile, the lucrative market for reforming shows no sign of slowing down with the news that '90s pop acts including B*Witched, 5ive and Atomic Kitten have all got back together as part of new ITV2 reality show.

Blur's Damon Albarn hit the headlines last week when it was reported that he has spent over £18,000 on replacing bikes he has had stolen from him on the streets of London.
