Gary Barlow has revealed that he has spent the summer working with Rick Rubin on the soundtrack to the Finding Neverland musical.

A Broadway version of the Kate Winslet, Johnny Depp film will open in March 2015 with a score provided by the Take That singer. Barlow revealed today (September 3) that he has spent time in Rubin's studio working on a "guest artist album" to accompany the production.

The New York Post recently reported that Jessie J recorded a song titled 'Stronger' for the album in a Los Angeles studio following the MTV VMAs last month (August).

Rubin has worked with a diverse range of artists over his career, including Beastie Boys, Metallica, Jay Z and Slayer. Jake Bugg recently revealed that he has already started working on material for his third album, and has shared some ideas with the super-producer.

Rubin helped produce Kanye West's 2013 album 'Yeezus' and confirmed in a recent interview that he is working on a follow-up. He was also spotted at a London concert by the poet-turned-rapper Kate Tempest earlier this year. He attended the gig with friend, Frank Ocean.

Finding Neverland was first released in 2004 and tells the story of JM Barrie in his early career as a playwright prior to writing Peter Pan.
