Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar are set to collaborate on the soundtrack for the new film Divergence, it has been revealed.

The rapper will team up with the Australian psych-rock band for a reworked take on their track 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards'. The dystopian teen film will be released in March 2014 and is based on the novel of the same name by author Veronica Roth.

Other artists contributing to the soundtrack include Ellie Goulding, Skrillex and A$AP Rocky.

The full tracklisting is as follows:

Zedd feat. Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant – 'Find You'
Ellie Goulding – 'Beating Heart'
Pia Mia feat. Chance The Rapper – 'Fight For You'
Ellie Goulding – 'Hanging On' (I See MONSTAS remix)
Snow Patrol – 'I Won't Let You Go'
Woodkid – 'Run Boy Run'
Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar – 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards'
M83 – 'I Need You'
A$AP Rocky feat. Gesaffelstein – 'In Distress'
Pretty Lights – 'Lost And Found' (ODESZA remix)
Skrillex – 'STRANGER'
Big Deal – 'Dream Machines'
Ellie Goulding – 'Dead In The Water'
Woodkid – 'I Love You'
BANKS – 'Waiting Game'
Ellie Goulding – 'My Blood'

In December last year, Kevin Parker revealed that he is currently working on Tame Impala's next album. Commenting on its progress, he said: "The way I do it is there's never recording 'sessions.' One finishes, the next one starts. It's just continuous. I write songs everyday, but I don't necessarily get to record them. I just record whenever I can, whenever I'm home, whenever I have access to something that can make music."

Tame Impala are set to play this summer's Latitude festival. They will join headliners Two Door Cinema Club and Damon Albarn on the bill, with Agnes Obel, Jungle, Damien Jurado, Julia Holter, Valerie June, Koreless, East India Youth, Kwabs, Eagulls and Fat White Family also included on the line-up.
