Tame Impala were showered by cushions thrown by fans at a gig in France earlier this week.

The Australian psych outfit played the Théâtres Romains de Fourvière in Lyon on Monday (July 4). During their perfomance of song 'Apocalypse Dreams', fans began to throw the cushions they had been given to sit on by the venue onto the stage. Reports have suggested this to be a tradition in the region to show your enjoyment of a performance.

The band later posted footage of the moment to Instagram, writing: "Get showered in cushions by 4000 French people". They added: "Crowd standin there all guilty like a puppy dog sittin next to a pile of poo".
