Lady Gaga joined Tame Impala during their performance at FYF Festival last night.

The singer made a surprise appearance and joined the band as they neared the end of their performance. Greeting the crowd and hugging Kevin Parker, she then performed ‘New Person, Same Old Mistakes’ with them.

Lady Gaga recently announced her new single, ‘Perfect Illusion’ which was produced by Tame Impala singer Kevin Parker with Mark Ronson and BloodPop, who produced Justin Bieber’s single ‘Sorry’.

She changed her website to show a scroll of the single title and release information this on August 17. ‘Perfect Illusion’ will be released in September.

Although Gaga released joint album ‘Cheek To Cheek’ with Tony Bennett in 2014, ‘Perfect Illusion’ will be Gaga’s first solo material for an album since her 2013 album ‘Artpop’. She released the single ‘Til It Happens To You’ in 2015 for The Hunting Ground, a documentary about rape.

The new album sees Gaga reunite with RedOne, producer of her hits ‘Poker Face’, ‘Just Dance’ and ‘Bad Romance’. RedOne told Billboard of their reunion: “We both have a cleaner life now. I see her smiling, like the girl I knew before. She’s in a really beautiful place.”
