NATURAL CAUSES CALLED TAMMY WYNETTE
Despite the second autopsy confirming death by natural causes, Wynette's daughters haven't dropped their wrongful death lawsuit...
No autopsy was performed on the country star when she was found dead on April 6, 1998, by her husband at their Nashville mansion. Wynette's doctor, Wallis Marsh, was called to the scene and concluded that she died of a blood clot.
Wynette's body was exhumed for an autopsy in 1999 following pressure from her daughters. Traces of two prescription drugs were found, but these weren't considered a factor in the death.
Despite the second autopsy this week confirming death by natural causes, Wynette's daughters haven't dropped their wrongful death lawsuit against Wallis Marsh and a pharmaceutical company alleged to have supplied Wynette with the drugs.
