Tenacious D have announced four UK shows for this summer.

The duo, who consist of actor Jack Black and comedian Kyle Gass, will release their new album 'Rize Of The Fenix' on May 15 and will play four dates in the UK in June in support of this.

Tenacious D will play two shows at London's O2 Academy Brixton on June 5 and 6, before playing a date at O2 Apollo Manchester on June 10 and a further show at Glasgow's SECC on June 12.

In between the shows, Tenacious D will play this summer's Download Festival, playing on a bill that is headlined by The Prodigy, Metallica and a reunited Black Sabbath. The festival takes place over the weekend of June 8-10 at Donington Park, with the duo performing on June 9.

'Rize Of The Fenix' is the follow-up to 2006's 'The Pick of Destiny' and 2001's self-titled debut and, once again, features drums from Dave Grohl.

Tenacious D will play:

O2 Academy Brixton (June 5, 6)
O2 Apollo Manchester (10)
Glasgow SECC (12)

Tickets go onsale on Friday (March 9) at 9am (GMT). To check the availability of Tenacious D tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
