Ex-Test Icicles man reveals new project
Lightspeed Champion work with Bright Eyes producer
Former Test Icicles member Devote Hynes’s new band Lightspeed Champion are recording their debut album.
The band are currently recording with Bright Eyes producer Mike Mogis in Nebraska. The album is set to be released this year.
Writing on their Official Site, Hynes posted: "Mike Mogisis a dude, and this record is gonna be sweet...Conor Oberst stopped by the studio to say "hey" and stuff which was cool...So far so good."
The group have made one track - ’Christmas Song’ - available on their Lightspeedchampion.com, but have also named 'Everyone Is Listening To Crunk' as a track on the album, which Hynes describes as: "Probably the most personal song on the album."
Test Icicles played their last ever gig in April of last year at London’s Astoria.
