Outdoors shows set for New York City’s Governor’s Island
B-52s will perform August 18 at the Beach
The B-52s are set to perform a gig on New York City’s Governor’s Island, which is located just 800 metres from lower Manhattan.
The gig is part of the Beach on Governors Island series, which will be operated in conjunction with the Highline Ballroom and Water Beach Taxi, among others, and takes place on a man-made beach currently under construction on the island.
The B-52s are the first band to be announced for the summer series, but DJs will play throughout the summer, with cafes and bars set up in shaded areas.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Monday (June 29).
