Spoon, The Academy Is.., Muse and Gym Class Heroes win at Woodies

And Fall Out Boy team up with Lupe Fiasco to perform at the ceremony

The fourth annual MTVU Woodie Awards took place last night (November 7) at Roseland Ballroom in New York.

The awards cater to college students across the US, who vote for the winners in each category including Artist Of The Year, Best Emerging Artist and Best Video Of the Year.

Muse walked away with Best Performing Woodie for their recent tour while Spoon were awarded the Alumni Woodie.

Woodie Of The Year aka Artist Of The Year went to Gym Class Heroes, who were at Roseland to accept the award.

Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is…, Talib Kweli and Q-Tip were all at the awards, with Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump joining Lupe Fiasco onstage for a rendition of Lupe’s single ‘Superstar’.

Tokyo Police Club performed, as did Spank Rock who were joined onstage by Santogold. Rilo Kiley closed the show with a stunning performance of two tracks ‘Money Maker’ and ‘Breakin’ Up’.

The awards will be aired on MTVU and MTVU.com on November 15 at 8pm EST.
