Gruff Rhys also signs up to help Burberry workers
The Automatic are set to play a concert being organised as part of a campaign to save jobs at a Burberry factory in south Wales.
The gig will take place on March 24 at the Ystrad Rhondda Leisure Centre, and joining them on the bill will be Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys and rock veterans The Alarm.
The event is being organised by The Pop Factoryin Porth, and all proceeds will be going into a trust to support affected workers.
It will go ahead six days before the planned closure of the Treorchy plant, which would result in 300 job loses.
Emyr Afan from The Pop Factory told BBC News: “The proposed closure of the Burberry factory is a real slap in the face to the loyal workforce in Wales.”
He added the gig would raise funds for workers facing unemployment.
“All artists will appear for free and all the proceeds will be donated to a trust created to support the families of the workers at this uncertain time in their lives,” Afan explained.
