Burt Bacharach earns lifetime Grammy
The Band also gets career honour
Burt Bacharach is set to get a lifetime achievement Grammy in February.
Also set to win the award are The Band, Doris Day and jazz singer Cab Calloway.
Classical violinist Itzhak Perlman, jazz drummer Max Roach and bluegrass banjo player Earl Scruggs are also set to be honoured, reports ABC news.
The awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Los Angeles on February 9, one day before the 50th Grammy Awards.
The lifetime achievement honours often go to artists who have never won a competitive Grammy.
Bacharah has won six Grammy awards in the past.
