Rock and roll theme park planned for Arizona

Plans for an $800 million rock and roll theme park in Arizona have been announced.

The park is to be called Decades, and will be divided into separate regions that represent decades from the 1960s to the present.

The 1960s section, for example, will emphasise the British Invasion and Motown, while the 1980s would focus on the rise of the music video.

Park attractions may include The Beach Boys wave pool, the Grand Funk Railroad, Hotel California, and the 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On'[/b] roller coaster.

Developers hope to complete the park by 2012 and expect approximately six million visitors a year, reports the Arizona Star.
