THE BEST OF THE BEATLES!

The band get set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their first release...

THE BEATLES
are set to mark the 40th anniversary of their first hit with a new compilation.

The Fab Four's debut single 'Love Me Do' gave the band their first entry into the charts in October, 1962.

Today's (August 9) Sun newspaper reports that bosses at The Beatles'
record label Parlophone have held a secret meeting to discuss the project at Abbey Road studios..

The as yet untitled double CD would have up to 50 tracks, and be billed as the ultimate Beatles'
album.

The '1' album, which compiled all the group's Number One hits, became the fastest-selling album ever after it's release in November 2000.
