The Beatles go postal

Album covers to feature on stamps

The Beatles are due to feature in a new set of stamps.

The Royal Mail are set to feature several of the Fab Four’s albums covers including ’Rubber Soul’, ’Revolver’, ’Abbey Road’ and’Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’.

A Royal Mail spokesman said: “The Beatles special stamps promise to be a big hit with fans the world over.

"Royal Mail is featuring some '1st Class' Beatles album covers to commemorate the UK band that stands for all that's great in popular culture."

The stamps are due to go on sale in 2007.
