The legend plays before a celeb-packed Camden crowd

Paul McCartney launched his new album at a celeb-packed low-key London show tonight (June 7).

The Beatles legend played at Camden's Electric Ballroom before a crowd made up of competition winners and invited guests.

Those present included Macca's daughters Stella and Mary, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, guitar legend Jeff Beck, and actors Pierce Brosnan and Mackenzie Crook.

Speaking to NME.COM afterwards, Brosnan declared McCartney's set "fantastic". There were five songs from new LP 'Memory Almost Full', including 'Only Mama Knows', 'That Was Me', 'Nod Your Head', 'House Of Wax' and new single 'Dance Tonight'.

The rest of the set comprised mainly of Beatles classics like opener 'Drive My Car', 'The Long And Winding Road', 'Blackbird' and 'Hey Jude', which closed the original set and opened the encore, resulting in a mass singalong.

Macca also covered Carl Perkins' rock'n'roll classic 'Matchbox', and paid tribute to his deceased wife Linda and Beatles bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison before 'Here Today', from his 1982 solo album 'Tug Of War'.

The set was:

'Drive My Car'
'Only Mama Knows'
'Dance Tonight'
'C Moon'
'The Long And Winding Road'
'I'll Follow The Sun'
'Calico Skies'
'That Was Me'
'Blackbird'
'Here Today'
'Back In The USSR'
'Nod Your Head'
'House Of Wax'
'I've Got A Feeling'
'Matchbox'
'Get Back'
'Hey Jude'
'Let It Be'
'Lady Madonna'
'I Saw Her Standing There'
