A series of unseen photos of The Beatles on holiday are to be auctioned off this weekend.

The shots, which were taken by an 11-year-old boy in 1963, will go under the hammer at the Omega Auctions in Stockport, tomorrow (January 26).

The pictures show the Fab Four sun bathing in Weston-super-Mare, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney taking afternoon tea out of china cups as a group of old ladies sit in armchairs nearby and another showing the band relaxing on deck chairs with Ringo waving, reports The Daily Mirror.

Bruce Leak, who was on a family holiday with his parents when he took the pictures at the time, passed away last year aged 59.

His sister has since inherited the photos and has now put them up for sale.

Meanwhile, The Beatles will be honoured during their 50th anniversary year in their hometown Liverpool for a series of events later this year.

This includes an International Beatles Week, with gigs, talks and a convention in August.

Earlier this month McCartney revealed that The Beatles considered reforming while they were all still alive, but decided against it in case it ruined their legacy.
