Hear The Big Pink's new single 'Stay Gold' on NME.COM
Band reveal first track from forthcoming second album 'Future This'
The track is due to be released on November 8, with the band's second album 'Future This' following in January 2012.
Although the band told NME earlier this year that they were turning their backs on indie to make a "hip-hop record", 'Stay Gold' has an electro rock feel similar to material on their 2009 self-titled debut.
Speaking back in January, multi-instrumentalist Milo Cordell insisted that the band were determined to take a new hip-hop direction, commenting:
A lot of white, middle class bands say, ‘We're going to make a hip-hop record’, but we're actually going to do it.
The London group, who have been working on the album with producer Paul Epworth, have suggested that they want to record hip-hop in their own way, "in the same way that Massive Attack, Tricky or Portishead are hip-hop in their own way".
