BLACK CROWES DRUMMER FLIES AWAY
Steve Gorman leaves as the band enter a "hiatus"...
drummer STEVE GORMAN has left the group.
Gorman had been with the group since 1987, and was part of the line-up on last year's 'Tour Of Brotherly Love' across the US with Oasis.
Gorman told US music website www.launch.com that he wanted to work on his own musical projects, and left the group in December last year.
He said: "It was just time to look into other projects and opportunities. I felt it was time to move on and focus on my own projects. I'm very proud of the music we've made, and now I look forward to going off in my own direction."
Gorman's departure comes at a time when the group are in "hiatus". A statement on the group's website, www.blackcrowes.com reveals at vocalist Chris Robinson is currently working on a solo record.
