BACK IN BLACK!

The US rockers line up a series of shows after only four years apart...

have decided to reform for a series of live shows in the US.

The band are lined up to play five nights at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom from March 22-26, according to MTV.

The reunion comes nearly three years after singer Chris Robinson and his brother Rich (guitarist) announced that they were parting from the band indefinitely to pursue solo careers after 15 years and seven albums.

The group released their last studio album ‘Lions’ in 2001.

Each show will feature a different support act handpicked by the Robinsons.

Support comes from a href="http://www.nme.com/artists/219783.htm">Ben Kweller[/url], Soundtrack Of Our Lives and North Mississippi Allstars.

manager Pete Angelus said the group will wait to "see how these shows at the Hammerstein evolve" before considering plans for a full tour or new album.
