Justin Bieber says Black Keys drummer needs 'slapping around'
Teen star makes comment on Twitter following Grammy snub
Justin Bieber has said that Patrick Carney of The Black Keys needs 'slapping' after the drummer criticised his music at the Grammys.
Carney spoke out about Bieber at the Grammy Awards, which took place in Los Angeles last weekend (February 10). Asked about the fact that Bieber was snubbed by the Grammys and was not nominated for a single award, Carney joked with the TMZ reporter, saying: "He's rich, right?" before adding: "I mean, I don't know. Grammys are, like, for music, not for money, and he's making a lot of money. I don't know – he should be happy, I guess."
The Black Keys were the big winners at this year's Grammys, taking home four of the six awards they were nominated for. The band picked up awards for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album, while frontman Dan Auerbach picked up 'Producer of the Year (Non-Classical)' for his work on the Dr John album 'Locked Down'.
All of this success, twinned with Carney's comments have clearly got to Bieber who earlier today (February 12) posted a message on Twitter stating that the drummer needs to be "slapped around" to his millions of followers.
