The Black Keys share prank phone call to record label

The duo release their new album 'Turn Blue' on May 12

The Black Keys have shared a prank phone call which they made to their record label, Nonesuch.

Click above to listen to the call, which sees Patrick Carney of the duo posing as a member of a band called Quartzazium, who he explains is "a New Age artist from Rhode Island". He pitches an album called 'Terrestrial Feelings' whilst Dan Auerbach giggles in the background. He asks the label to come and check out the band's show that evening, which he says will be their last until "the spring solstice". He then asks for a four-album deal.

The Black Keys recently unveiled a new song, 'Bullet In The Brain', as well as premiering the video for the album's first single 'Fever'. Click here to listen to the track and watch the video, which was directed by Theo Wenner and sees Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney appearing as television evangelists.

'Turn Blue', the follow-up 2011's 'El Camino', was produced by Danger Mouse alongside Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood last summer as well as at the Key Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan at the start of 2013. The band will play Glastonbury and Latitude festivals this summer.

The 'Turn Blue' tracklisting is:

'Weight Of Love'
'In Time'
'Turn Blue'
'Fever'
'Year In Review'
'Bullet In The Brain'
'It's Up To You Now'
'Waiting On Words'
'10 Lovers'
'In Our Prime'
'Gotta Get Away'
