The Black Keys
have been forced to cancel their UK and European tour due to mental and physical exhaustion, as well as guitarist DAN AUERBACH fracturing a bone in his foot.
The duo have been touring heavily since the release of their album 'Thickfreakness' in April, but it seems that a life on the road has taken their toll.
In a statement, the band apologised saying: "We feel it best to postpone our dates until we feel fit and ready to hit the road again."
They added: "We feel rundown and therefore sound rundown. If we have the next few months, we can recuperate, and prepare for a worthwhile tour in Europe."
The Black Keys
are planning to reschedule the dates for early 2004.
The postponed dates are:
Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms (November 17)
Manchester Academy 3 (18)
Leeds Cockpit (19)
Glasgow King Tuts Wah Wah Hut (20)
Northumbria University (21)
London Mean Fiddler (22)
Bristol Fleece & Firkin (23)
