The Black Keys' Patrick Carney calls Justin Bieber an 'irresponsible asshole'

The duo appeared on 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend ahead of today's 'Turn Blue' release

The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney has continued his long-running feud with Justin Bieber, calling him a "fucking irresponsible asshole".

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Carney said that his 2013 Grammys comment about Bieber, when he said "Grammys are for music, not for the money, and he's making a lot of money. He should be happy" was actually a compliment. After making the comment to a gossip site reporter, Bieber told his Twitter followers that the drummer should be "slapped around".

"I just started getting called a faggot, you know? All these kids who don't know what they're saying are saying all of these things that are actually wildly inappropriate. And these kids are just dumbasses," he commented.

He added: "I'm saying that he should be grateful that he has a fucking career in music. And he shouldn't be fucking telling his followers to slap me, and then also be doing anti-bullying bullshit. It's so irresponsible."

Meanwhile, The Black Keys appeared on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, performing 'Fever' and 'Bullet In The Brain' from their new album, 'Turn Blue', which is out today (May 12). The album, their eighth, follows 2011's Grammy-winning 'El Camino'. Click at the top of the page to watch their rendition of 'Fever' and below for 'Bullet In The Brain'.
