Black Lips set to become movie stars

They also add more dates to US tour

The Black Lips have signed on to star in a movie, set to begin production next summer.

The band will play a band in ‘Let It Be’, which is set during the late 1980s and based around the American underground post-punk rock scene.

In addition to well-known tracks from that period, the movie will also include new music written by the band.

Meanwhile, the group have added a few dates to their US tour. They are:
Atlanta Variety Playhouse (November 30)
Athens Georgia Theatre (December 5)
Charlotte Neighborhood Theatre (7)
Asheville Orange Peel (8)

Is anyone questioning the potency of late 80's american post-punk. Realistically the US contributed nothing more than Elton Montello to Post-punk and that was 70's west coast not exactly Black Lips material.

Whoever is makeing this film is crippled from the start.
