THE BLUETONES' UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE

THE BLUETONES have just announced a 15-date UK university tour for the autumn.

They will appear at: Hull University (October 13) Oxford Brookes University (14) Warwick University (15) Liverpool University (17) Lancaster Sugarhouse (18) Newcastle University (21) Sheffield University (22) Leicester De Montfort University (25) Northampton Roadmender Centre (26) Bristol Anson Rooms (27) Cardiff University, Great Hall (29) Brighton Centre, East Wing (30) Cambridge Junction (31) Ipswich Corn Exchange (November 2) London Shepherd's Bush Empire (3)

They also play T In The Park on July 8, and the Carling Weekend Reading[/b] and Leeds festivals on August 25 and 28 respectively.

According to a message posted on the band's official website, www.bluetones.co.uk, a warm-up date for T In The Park is lined up for July 7 at Stoke, The Sugarmill.

As reported first on nme.com, the band were kitted out in dapper matching pinstripe suits for their performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Friday (June 23), where they rounded off their set with a cover of Denis Waterman's theme from Minder, 'I Could Be So Good For You'.
