BREEDERS BACK TO JOIN THE PARTY

Kim Deal's outfit return to play the festival...

SHELLAC have confirmed the first bands to appear at ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES 2002, which includes a rare UK appearance from THE BREEDERS.

Next year's event takes place at Camber Sands Holiday Park over the weekend of April 19-21.

The festival is curated this time by Steve Albini's Shellac, and , according to the at official festival website will feature, amongst others, performances from Shellac themselves, Silkworm and The Breeders.

Albini has produced The Breeders forthcoming album, the follow-up to 1993's 'Last Splash', which is currently nearing completion.

More bands are set to be announced in the coming months, with organisers promising "a surprise up our sleeves which will answer all the critics and leave you excited all the same".

In other news, Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder and Beastie Boys side project BS2000 and are the latest additions to the first ever All Tomorrow's Parties festival in the US.

As previously reported on NME.COM, following the success of ATP in the UK, organisers have branched out to the US, with the inaugural event taking place at University of California in Los Angeles over the weekend of October 19-21.

The festival is curated by former ATP headliners Sonic Youth, and the bill has now been finalised.

Other groups confirmed to appear include Television, Stereolab, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Stephen Malkmus.
