CARDIGANS frontwoman NINA PERSSON is to release her debut solo album in August, NME.COM can confirm.
While details of the project - which the Swedish singer recorded under the moniker Camp - are still emerging, it is understood the album will be called 'A Camp'.
A collective of musicians recorded the album with Persson in a studio in upstate New York, where she has been living since she relocated from the Cardigans' native Jonkoping in Sweden in January last year.
A source told NME.COM that the first single, 'I Can Buy You', will be released in June.
After Persson moved to the States, the band were put on hold while various members pursued other interests, but they have not split.
