Nina Persson will also be joined by Spooks, Groove Armada and Ben Folds...

CARDIGANS vocalist NINA PERSSON, SPOOKS, GROOVE ARMADA and BEN FOLDS are among the latest additions to this year's V2001 festival.

This year's event, like last year, takes place over the weekend of August 18-19 at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Stafford.

Cardigans songwriter Nina Persson is confirmed to appear at the festival, where she will be performing material from her forthcoming solo album, 'Camp'. In addition, Ben Folds, from the now defunct Ben Folds Five, will also premiere material from his forthcoming solo record.

Other new addtions today come from Spooks and Groove Armada.

Other acts recently confirmed for V2001 include Kylie Minogue, Nelly Furtado, Sparklehorse, Wheatus, Turin Brakes, Alfie, The Webb Brothers and Ed Harcourt.

This year's event is headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Texas and Coldplay.
