The Charlatans hit the road

The Charlatans will tour the UK during April and May 2006.

The band, who release their new album ’Simpatico’ on April 10, will hit the road in support.

The tour visits:

Newcastle Carling Academy (27)
Sheffield Octagon (29)
Liverpool University (30)
Nottingham Rock City (May 1)
Leeds University (2)

London Brixton Carling Academy (5)
Bristol Carling Academy (7)
Exeter University (8)
Southampton Guildhall (9)
Norwich UEA (11)
Manchester Carling Apollo (12)


The first single to be released from the album is ’Blackened Blue Eyes’, which is out on March 27. The tracklisting for the album runs:

The Charlatans have uploaded three demo tracks recorded during the making of ‘Simpatico’ on to their official website www.thecharlatans.net.

Final versions of two of the tracks – ‘Dead Man’s Eye’ and ‘Road To Paradise’ will feature on the new LP, which will be released on April 10th. The other demo song is ‘Don’t You Worry’.

Two short videos of the band at work in Hook End Manor studio last summer are also being streamed.
