Crowded House will also perform amongst the trees

The Charlatans have announced they will play a special forest gig this summer.

The fivesome will perform at Cannock Chase Forest, Staffordshire on June 29 as part of the Forestry Commission’s 2008 Forest Tour.

Crowded House also play three shows, which are as follows:

Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Nr Edwinstowe (June 20)
Westonbirt National Arboretum, Nr Tetbury (21)
High Lodge, Thetford Forest (July 10)

The Charlatans release their tenth studio album, 'You Cross My Path', in March.

It will be available to download for free from March 3 through Xfm.co.uk and then the band’s official website two weeks later (March 17).
