The Charlatans get 'cool' V Festival crowd pumping
Tim Burgess and co get them dancing at Staffordshire site
Tearing along with a relentless energy, the band mixed songs from right across their career, as the likes of 'Weirdo' and 'Bad Day' caused a wave of dancing to rippled through the big top tent.
"You're so cool," frontman Tim Burgess told the crowd in reaction to their dancing. "It's looking very good down the front, I must say."
"Taking things up a notch", mid-set salvo of 'One To Another' and 'Only One I Know' saw the crowd go wild, dancing with their hands aloft with Burgess declaring: "It's better in here, than out there!"
With the show continuing the same energetic format, the band tore through the likes of 'Misbegotten' and 'This Is The End' before concluding their set with a storming version of
'How High'.
The Charlatans played:
'You Cross My Path'
'Weirdo'
'Bad Day'
'Blackened Blue Eyes'
'Judas'
'Mis-Takes'
'One To Another'
'The Only One I Know'
'Oh Vanity'
'Misbegotten'
'This Is The End'
'How High'
