Drummer to undergo treatment in UK after passing out at US gig
The Charlatans have announced that drummer Jon Brookes is to undergo treatment for a brain tumour.
The drummer has returned to the UK after he collapsed onstage in Philadephia last week (September 15).
Brookes passed out early in the band's set and stopped breathing before he was resuscitated by a doctor who was in the audience.
The band have now confirmed his condition in a statement and have thanked fans and well-wishers for their support.
Although The Charlatans cancelled their remaining US dates, the rest of their shows will not be affected as they will recruit a "short-term replacement" while Brookes undergoes treatment.
