My Chemical Romance have been named Best Indie/Alternative Live Band at the NME Awards USA in Los Angeles tonight (April 23).
The New Jersey group were not at the El Rey Theatre to pick up their prize, voted by NME.COM's US users, but presenters Alice Cooper and Danny Saber accepted the award for the band.
The other nominees were:
Foo Fighters
Kings Of Leon
The Killers
Queens Of The Stone Age
