Photo Gallery: The Clash
THE CLASH's JOE STRUMMER and MICK JONES were among a packed crowd at LONDON CAMDEN MOSS last night (September 26) to see the opening of an exhibition devoted to their band.
The exhibition is comprised entirely of photos taken of The Clash by US photographer Bob Gruen and spans the band's career.
Others there to view the stunning array of shots - prints of which were all on sale - included Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Bush's Gavin Rossdale, Saffron from Republica, Grand Theft Audio's Chris McCormack Matt James from Gene
and fashion designer Pam Hogg.
The exhibition runs at the gallery in Greenland Street, Camden until November 18.
Meanwhile, The Clash's
'Westway To The World' documentary is released on DVD on November 5 on Sony Music Video.
The release includes both the film and 45 minutes of previously unseen interview footage, a rare 20-minute clip of the lost movie 'Clash On Broadway', an interactive photo gallery of pictures from Bob Gruen and a discography of the band.
The film was first shown in 1999 in selected cinemas and on BBC2 before being released on video.
